The Chronicles of the Awakening is a shared urban fantasy universe. The first series, The Seeds of the Awakening, is set in contemporary Wellington, New Zealand, where the city's wind and hills and harbour are the backdrop for a hidden world of elemental magic, ancient enemies, and four young people who inherit more than they bargained for.
The universe is built on a Christian cosmology. The story of Scripture (creation, fall, redemption, restoration) is the ground every series stands on, whether characters believe it or not. This is not allegory. It is a world where the theological is simply true, and the characters have to reckon with it.

The Seeds of the Awakening
Four young people inherit the last remnants of an ancient elemental magic: Lightning, Flame, Tide, and Stone. Each book follows one Bearer's story. Together they tell the story of the four Bearers facing the ancient enemy who has hunted the Seeds for fifteen centuries.
